Should I buy a portable speaker or a karaoke system for Tet?

The investment cost of a portable speaker is also cheaper than a professional karaoke system. On the market, portable speakers have many different prices, depending on the brand and origin. A genuine, good quality device costs around 5 million VND.

The downside of this device is that the sound quality is not professional. The design is simple, not very aesthetic when placed in the living room. There are many devices on the market of unknown origin, which can cause fire and explosion. Only a few portable speakers support songs on USB, most still need to be connected to the Internet to be able to use.

Karaoke system

A home karaoke system will include speakers, amplifiers, disc players, microphones, and TV screens. These devices can be purchased as a set or assembled separately according to individual preferences. The advantage of a karaoke system is professional sound quality. A standard speaker system includes bass speakers, mid-range speakers, and treble speakers combined with an amplifier.

Karaoke systems also have many models and types that are distributed by genuine distributors and have long warranties. Users can choose according to their needs and economic conditions. Average capacity is from 250 to 2.000W. The speaker system can operate independently, without needing an Internet connection. Modern karaoke systems can also connect to Smart TVs so that users can update new songs from YouTube or third-party applications.

The limitation of karaoke systems is that they are only fixed indoors, difficult to bring outside when camping or traveling. The investment and maintenance costs for a speaker system are quite high, the wire connections are also complicated and require the player to have basic knowledge of sound. A medium-sized karaoke system costs around 10 million VND.

If your family often has outdoor parties or young people often go on picnics, then a portable speaker is a reasonable choice. If you have high requirements for sound quality, a karaoke system is the best choice. Or if your budget allows, you can choose both.
