Monitor Audio Silver 50 Speaker

The speaker cabinet is made of 20 mm thick wood and is reinforced with internal scales to reduce wall vibrations. The Monitor Audio Silver 50's exterior finish is made from a variety of natural woods and can also be finished in walnut (this product) or many other colors. The grille is attached to the speaker with invisible magnetic pins and looks very neat thanks to its low height. The speaker is mounted with steel plate bolts inside the cabinet, increasing the rigidity of the entire speaker structure.

The Monitor Audio Silver 50 is equipped with a woofer with a 5,25-inch (13.3cm) diameter diffuser, which uses several patented technologies. The bass diaphragm has a structure that combines ceramic metal and C-CAM, in its RST configuration providing additional stiffness. The voice coil is connected to the diffuser in such a way as to eliminate possible sound distortion at any amplitude of movement, and this solution is called DCF.

The woofer is mounted on a molded polymer frame, which is durable and resistant to resonance. The woofer is loaded on a HiVe II bass reflex, providing airflow without distortion and acoustic noise.

The Monitor Audio Silver 50 tweeter also features a C-CAM dome with an additional gold coating. To eliminate the risk of mechanical damage, especially when removing the speaker grill, the tweeter is covered with an acoustically transparent mesh.

The Monitor Audio Silver 50 speaker uses a cable wiring system with silver-plated conductors made of high-purity copper and selected audiophile-grade components installed in the decoupling filter. The screw terminals on the Silver 50's custom-made connectors provide the most accurate and stable signal transmission from the amplifier.
