Top notch structure

The Monitor Audio Radius R270 floorstanding speaker features two 2cm C-CAM bass / midrange drivers. Designed in aluminum / magnesium coated with ceramic, its dome benefits from all of Monitor Audio's know-how. Originally developed by the aerospace industry for jet engine components, the C-CAM characteristics are ideal for speaker cones because they are extremely rigid yet light enough to deliver high overall efficiency. The woofer is also a C-CAM, capable of withstanding the bending deformations imposed by sudden to extreme bass, reproducing the dynamics and depth of low frequencies very cleanly.

At the top of the speaker is a 25mm Tweeter, also a C-CAM. Its new design allows it to go beyond 35kHz, providing a linear response that goes beyond listening, matching the wide frequency range available from HD music and cinema formats.

Bass reflex x2 for naturally powerful bass!

The use of dual Bass Reflex Chambers positioned at the front and rear, benefiting from HIVe 2 technology, ensures that these Radius R270 speakers reproduce bass more clearly and powerfully in a natural way. On the other hand, grooves inside the vents help to accelerate the flow and reduce turbulence, so that air moves in and out of the vents more efficiently, resulting in a faster and more dynamic bass response.
