Architect

I am really impressed with the super compact design of the MHC-V11 even though its capacity is 430W. Compared to other speakers with even half the capacity, the MHC-V1's appearance is very 'smurf' with the modern look inherent to Sony.
Maybe Sony sacrificed some of the internal power supply for this design, so it can't be carried to many performance venues. Like me, if I want to take it to perform on the street guitar, I have to invest in an additional UPS. Of course, because the V11 belongs to the home audio system line.

The volume/DJ effect knob by rotating (like the way a professional DJ scratches a disc) stands out on the control panel. The infinite rotation is very smooth and gentle, feels very comfortable to turn, especially the feeling of touching the surface.
The display screen has a seal, slightly tilted forward for easy viewing during installation.
There is a 22.5cm slot on top, enough for me to put the mini tablet. Below 5cm is a 5V – 1A USB connection port for me to charge and use at the same time, not the 500mAh line commonly found in USB ports.

On the back, on the top, there is a speaker handle and an aluminum cover with many heat dissipation slots, and on both sides. The details are quite simple with 1 FM antenna jack, power jack and 2 video/audio asterisk inputs for connecting TV/other speakers. I listened to music continuously for half a day, this part was just warm.

The CD slot has 2 small cushions to help open and close smoothly.
The distance between the 2 6.5mm microphone jacks is just enough to use 2 wireless microphones. Next to the left is where the remote signal is received.
In the 20cm subwoofer, the two sides of the light string are dark blue. The light is even, flashes to the music and when I look directly at the speaker, it doesn't dazzle my eyes.
I see the speaker is 2 parts joined together. 2 4.8cm tweeters and subwoofer are located below in a separate part with the source above. The speaker housing is made of wood, the cuts on the back are easily visible. The front is covered with rough plastic for a seamless feel. The newly opened speaker has a very fragrant wood smell.
Remote control uses 2 AAA batteries, controls all features as when we adjust in Music Center software.

The remote is designed with strong edges, with a concave groove when holding. Usually the index finger will be in this position, creating a comfortable feeling when holding. I can adjust all functions without connecting to a smartphone such as turning on and off the LED lights, changing EQ, etc. It is just a remote but it is also applied ergonomically, with batteries (and a power cord adapter). It is clear that Sony cares carefully about its users. (Like a concern between family members of a product for the family.)

Function

At first glance, the control panel seems to have too many functions, but when using it, it is not. On the contrary, it is simple and convenient. I just look at the display screen and the symbols on the buttons and I know how to use it right away.

Some buttons need to be pressed for a long time to have other functions. Like the MegaBass button, long press when connecting multiple speakers (Party Chain), long press the Bluetooth button to connect a new device in case the device cannot be found. I have to look at the catalog to know about holding the button for 3 seconds.

The speaker plays music via Bluetooth connection of computer/smartphone/tablet, reads USB, CD. We need to switch between these modes correctly to listen by pressing the Function button. When inserting a CD, the speaker automatically recognizes it without having to change modes.

With 0-50 volume levels, I can gradually adjust the sound volume with this 430W capacity. When connected to a smartphone (specifically the Xperia XZs I am using), the volume adjustment is also synchronized.

Increasing 1 level on smartphone is 3 levels on speaker. For computer/Lumia there is no such synchronization. So there are more volume levels to match, because sometimes when increasing 1 level on Xperia the sound is too loud. At that time I have to access Music Center software (SongPal) to adjust more volume levels, no need to go to speaker to rotate circle.

Sing Karaoke very well

The special and wonderful feature of this speaker line is the karaoke function with 2 6.5mm microphone jacks. You don't have to spend much time adjusting, just turn the Echo knob to adjust the high and low voice (standing far away using the remote, no need to adjust on the speaker). Besides adjusting the Echo, the speaker also provides 2 effects to reduce music volume (vocal fader) and reverberation (mic echo) like a common karaoke system. When setting the reverberation to level 2-3, I feel that singing karaoke is much better than usual. Singing karaoke without reverberation is like bread without pâté?
My voice is more authentic than the karaoke systems I've sung in. A good voice will sound good, a bad voice will sound bad, without any voice processing. (At first, I was a bit discouraged because I sang for fun because I sounded so bad :D)
If the voice is low, I turn the Echo knob up, the music is low, rotate the volume clockwise. Just increase or decrease accordingly.
P/s: When I went to consult, the staff said that singing karaoke on this speaker was weird. I asked what was weird? The staff just said it was weird without explaining (I didn't take a bath, so why would it be weird?). The reason she said it was weird was probably because she hadn't adjusted the echo as well as the balance between the singing voice and the sound/music.
Update: Please listen to a short clip, good/bad depends on the singer.

About the sound

I have no hesitation in deciding to choose MHC-V11 for home use (including outdoor parties) or to discuss Sony's sound quality, especially when their products are made for listening to music and entertainment like this.
MHC-V11 has a prominent 20cm front subwoofer and two 4.8cm tweeters evenly distributed on both sides. Speaking of which, let me explain a little about the hardware technical factors:

So the sound is true, solid according to Hifi quality and not distorted even at the highest volume. Now I don't need to wear ExtraBass headphones like before to enjoy good music.

Turning on Mega bass, I feel the sound is much warmer and stronger, especially the bass, while the sound is less deep and clear. Or for gentle and passionate music, I change the EQ to suit my own sound perception. You can use the Music Center app (formerly SongPal) to adjust the EQ for each genre. The limitation here is that I cannot customize the EQ to my liking, but can only choose the settings for each given music genre.

The Music Center software seems similar to Sony music on Xepria but it is mainly for us to set parameters for the speaker. For listening to music, the specialized music listening software is still better because I can adjust EQ and sound effects as I like.

DSEE HX technology will upgrade the sound quality of music files to Hi-Res by reproducing higher frequency ranges. The most obvious manifestation is when I play old songs with bad sound. (Or because the speakers are good, bad sound becomes good :D)

Because the manufacturer only tries to make the sound quality as balanced as possible. And each person has their own sound taste, some like strong bass, some like clear treble,...

So EQ adjustment is extremely important. Even a 'fake' speaker or headphone I used, if you know how to adjust EQ, it will still compensate somewhat.
