Detailed review of DEAcoustics MH15 karaoke speaker

First, let's explore the key specifications that make up the MH15's powerhouse. These are the core components that shape its audio performance and durability.

Ability to operate stably in a professional environment

A notable point of MH15 is its ability to maintain stable sound performance thanks to its good heat dissipation design and high heat-resistant speaker. The electronic components and integrated crossovers inside are carefully selected, ensuring resistance stability and the ability to withstand continuous loads for many hours.

Combined with a universal impedance of 8Ω, the MH15 is easy to pair with modern Class D power amplifiers, enhancing system compatibility.

Clear tri-band sound reproduction

The MH15 speaker boasts the ability to reproduce all three frequency ranges (low-mid-high) fully and accurately. The powerful, deep bass range is thanks to the large-diameter ferrite driver, making it suitable for live music, remixes, EDM, or bolero karaoke tracks requiring powerful bass.

The mid-range is clear and transparent, providing clear, detailed vocals with little overlap. Meanwhile, the high-frequency range uses a horn-compressed treble to help the high-pitched sound travel far, without being harsh or distorted when turned up loud.

Low distortion and accurate frequency response

The speaker cabinet structure and vent holes are optimally designed according to the bass reflex principle, helping to reduce distortion (Total Harmonic Distortion - THD) and increase low frequency efficiency.

Combined with a high-quality crossover, the MH15 system maintains a clean sound even when handling complex mixes. This makes the MH15 a suitable choice for both live performers and high-end karaoke rooms that require studio-quality sound.

Sound Pressure Level SPL 119dB – Dominates Space

With a maximum SPL of up to 119dB, the MH15 is capable of filling a space of 40-100m² with just one pair of speakers. This is an important indicator of the MH1's ability to "fight" in large spaces such as wedding restaurants, event stages or halls. Meanwhile, the sensitivity of 15dB/99W/1M helps the speaker save power from the main amplifier but still achieve high volume levels.

High Durability – Suitable for portable audio systems

MH15 speaker is made from 15mm thick high-quality MDF wood, coated with scratch-resistant, moisture-resistant and impact-resistant paint. The sturdy physical structure comes with handles on both sides for convenient movement and installation.

In addition, the powder-coated steel mesh protects the speaker membrane from impact and dirt. All of these factors help the MH15 to be used stably in mobile sound environments, live orchestras or outdoor performances.

Flexible application – Meets multiple audio needs

A speaker that is highly regarded not only for its quality but also for its ability to adapt to many uses. The MH15 shows remarkable versatility in a variety of real-world situations.

The De Acoustics MH15 speaker is widely used in many types of sound systems:

• High-end business karaoke system: Good response to singing, clear music, little howling.
• Stage sound – live music: High power, wide dynamic range, high load capacity.
• Halls, cultural houses, temples: Wide coverage, easy to install, high durability.
• Front speaker system in mini array: Very effective as satellite speaker when needed to mix.

Frequently asked questions about DE Acoustics MH15 speakers

Is the Array De Acoustics MH15 speaker an active or passive speaker?

The DE Acoustics MH15 speaker is a passive speaker, meaning it does not have built-in power and requires a separate power amplifier to operate.

Does the DE MH15 speaker need a separate subwoofer?

Yes. To reproduce deeper and fuller bass frequencies, it's recommended to pair it with an 18-inch subwoofer such as the De Acoustics SW-18A or EUDAC SW15.

Should I choose an amplifier or a power main for DE Acoustics MH15?

It's advisable to choose a separate power amplifier, because the DE Acoustics MH15 is a high-power, low-impedance speaker, and a regular amplifier won't be powerful enough and may easily distort the sound.

Which digital reverb works well with DE Acoustics MH15?

Digital mixers like the EUDAC KM-400 , CAVS X400 , and JBL KX180A are very suitable thanks to their 10-band EQ, anti-feedback, and delay features, which provide smooth and stable vocals.
