Genuine JBL Pulse 4 Bluetooth Speaker
The JBL Pulse 4 is the latest upgrade to JBL's existing Pulse Bluetooth speaker line, delivering 360-degree sound with beautiful LED lights. The speaker can be controlled using the JBL Connect app to customize the light color (or turn the lights on/off) to the user's liking. The Pulse 4 is also IPX7 certified (for depths of about 1m), has a 12-hour battery life, and features JBL PartyBoost to connect to other PartyBoost-enabled speakers (up to 100 speakers are supported).
JBL Pulse 4 speaker design
The exterior of the JBL Pulse 4 has changed significantly, specifically the base has disappeared, making the speaker transparent, the overall harmony is much more elegant. Although the Pulse 4 is smaller than the Pulse 3, when held in the hand it is much heavier, giving the speaker a feeling of being really sturdy, partly helping the speaker to be better anti-vibration when placed on a flat surface. The speaker range is divided into the top and bottom with the bass woofer placed below, and the full-range tweeter located above.
JBL Pulse 4 has control buttons moved up and placed on the top ring of the speaker with 3 equally spaced positions and divided into 3 groups: Power / Bluetooth, Partyboost / Lights, Play / Volume. The design of the control buttons is thick, easy to press and has better response, easy to operate when used.
JBL Pulse 4 is equipped with the latest USB-C charging port, above is the speaker's battery life indicator bar. The charging port cover has also disappeared, reducing user operations when plugging in the charger.
JBL Pulse 4 Speaker Features
JBL Pulse 4 has changes in battery life and the ability to change the LED effect style. JBL Pulse 4 has up to 7 backlight effects and can be controlled via the JBL Connect app. The LED lights on Pulse 4 show more vibrant colors, smoother color transitions and are less dazzling than Pulse 3 because they are viewed through an outer glass layer.
JBL Pulse 4 is equipped with IPX7 waterproof feature, we don't have to worry about bringing JBL Pulse 4 to the pool or worrying about the rain during a picnic damaging the speaker. In addition, the Partyboost feature remains the same as on JBL Pulse 3, 12 hours of battery life when fully charged.
JBL Pulse 4 sound quality
In JBL Pulse 4, the bass is significantly improved compared to JBL Pulse 3. The bass has more power, depth, width and better dispersion than its predecessor. The midrange of the speaker is clear and detailed thanks to the newly improved tweeter and the sound direction is straight up. The treble is bright, has good bounce and detail, and is not harsh. The sound field is vast with a 360-degree sound speaker design.
