Detailed instructions for installing digital reverb calibration software manually and on computers and laptops
The first thing you need to understand is that you want to know. how to adjust digital echo there must be software to adjust, if the digital echo software is wrong, the connection will not work, let alone adjust. How to do it, you look at the front or back of the product, there will definitely be the product name, remember to pay attention to the product generation, for example, using the BF Audio K6000 digital echo of BF, there will be 2 types: K6000 and BF K6000Pro and the software of these 2 types is completely different, cannot be used together.
Note: if you buy cheap products, it is very likely that your digital echo is an OEM product, meaning the product name written on the outside does not match the software that can adjust it. For example, the product is written as PDCJ X5 but in fact the software to adjust the karaoke digital echo is the software of the KING XS max, for example.
There are many digital mixer products appearing with confusing model names, so finding software is also an obstacle.
This is just an assumption that you are unlucky enough to encounter this situation. Normally, this will not happen, so you can rest assured to go to the next adjustment step!
Download digital karaoke reverb adjustment software
After knowing what type of reverb you have, it is time to download the software. You can go online to download or go to the list of popular digital reverb editing software I have listed to see if it has the type you are using? If not, you can go online to find it or call the unit that sells it to you. This is also an important step in how to adjust karaoke digital echo Because without the right software everything is zero.
Check how your software connects to the digital mixer?
There are 2 ways to connect digital echo with digital echo adjustment software: using a wire, usually an RS32 wire, or using wifi (bluetooth). You should check which type your echo uses. The jack is usually located in the front or back with an RS 32 head or a USB pin.

Mixer digital balance wire
There are 3 common types of wires used to calibrate digital reverb software on laptops or computers (RS 32 port or USB pin)
RS232 digital reverb balance cable
There are a few digital reverbs that will use RS 232 port (but very few).
USB 2.0 digital reverb adjustment cable
Currently, the majority of mixers and digital echoes have switched to using this connection port (the benefit is quick and easy connection).
USB to USB digital reverb balance cable
There are also some types of digital echo that will use this connection port to adjust the sound. Below is the image:
Since the two ends of the wire are the same, in case you cannot connect, the easy thing you can do is reverse the wire and plug it back in.
***Note when connecting digital echo device to computer or laptop
- Change the wire and reconnect on the software
- When the connecting wire is disconnected, turn off the software or turn off the digital echo to operate again.
- Make sure the computer you received driver cord

Basic manual digital reverb calibration guide
Before manually adjusting the digital echo, the first thing you need to do is grasp the following basic techniques and knowledge if you don't want to mess up the sound.
- The MIC is used to adjust the sound of the
- The MUSIC unit is a music processor and controller.
- The EFFECT set consists of 2 components: Echo and Reverb adjustment.
- The MAIN OUT unit performs mixing and mic effects for the two front speakers.
- The CENTER and SURROUND units have the same function as the main out unit (ignore if you only use 2 speakers).
- The SUB unit has the function of adjusting the ceiling sound of the subwoofer (ignore if you do not use the subwoofer).
First, you need to understand the basics of what an Equalizer is. So what is an Equalizer? An Equalizer is a graph of audio frequency bands. EQ directly affects sound quality.
The frequency bands in Equalizer are shown as follows:
25hz-50hz:
1. Boost to give low frequency instruments more fullness
2. Reduce to reduce the "um" sound of the bass, increase the overtone and to hear the bass more clearly in the Mix. Usually done with loud Bass in Rock music
100hz:
1. Increase to give lower frequency instruments more weight
2. Increase to make the Guitar and Snare sound fuller
3. Increase to make the piano and trumpet sound warmer.
4. Reduce to reduce the “hum” sound of the guitar and make the guitar sound clearer
200hz:
1. Increase to make the voice fuller
2. Increase to make the guitar and snare drum sound fuller (harder and heavier)
3. Reduce to reduce vocal muddiness and mid-frequency instruments
4. Reduce the sound of the “cymbols”
400hz:
1. Increase for clearer Bass at low volume
2. Reduce the cardboard sound of low pitch drums (kicks, toms)
3. Decrease to increase the space (ambiance) for the cymbals
800hz:
1. Reduce for a clearer bass punch
2. Reduce to remove unnatural guitar tone(cheap sound)
1,5Khz:
1. Increase for clearer bass and pluck
2. Reduce to remove the dullness of the Guitar
3Khz:
1. Increase to give the bass a plucking sound.
2. Increase to make the electric guitar and acoustic sound clearer (more attack)
3. Increase to make the low end of the Piano more audible
4. Increase to make the vocals clearer and harder
5. Decrease to increase wind, light background vocals
6. Reduce to cover vocals, guitar sounds are out of tune
5Khz:
1. increase to make vocal clearer
2. Increase the low frequency of the kick drum and toms to make them sound clearer (low frequency drum attack)
3. Increase to give the bass a clearer finger sound.
4. Reduce to make the background vocals sound more distant
5. Reduce to soften thin guitar sound
7Khz:
1. Increase to make the sound more solid, add metal sound
2. Increase to make the percussion clearer
3. Increase for clear vocals
4. reduce the "hiss" sound of the voice
5. Boost to add tone to sythnersizer, acoustic guitar, guitar and piano
10Khz:
1. Increase makes the voice clearer
2. Increase to hear the piano and acoustic guitar brighter
3. Increase to make the symbal sound harder
16Khz-20Khz:
Reduce to 0 dB or less to reduce howling
To manually adjust the digital echo, users do not need to use it in combination with a computer but can operate directly on the device. Usually, family karaoke systems often use this adjustment method. If you want to sing karaoke, plug the microphone into the mic jack right in front of the digital echo. Above each mic jack, there is a volume adjustment for each mic. You can turn it up, but do not let it get too loud because it will cause howling.
Some notes when adjusting digital reverb manually that you need to pay attention to are:
Adjust microphone volume
Mic adjustment button: When pressed, the screen will display the mic adjustment panel, which adjusts the echo and reverb, this part depends on each person's perception. You can test the mic and adjust it appropriately.
Echo adjustment button: This part usually cuts off all the bass sound to make the echo lighter and more floating. As for reverb, if you only use family karaoke, you should set the reverb to a low level to limit the sound reverberation (because families often do not have a sound absorption system). As for professional karaoke systems, you can set it at a slightly higher level. In general, it depends on each person's musical perception to set different detailed parameters.
Reverb adjustment button: When adjusting the digital reverb manually, you have to do this part quite a lot because each person has a different voice and preferences, so it is difficult to keep it at one level. With reverb, it should not be set too high because it will cause unpleasant noise.
Music adjustment button: Press the digital reverb adjustment button. Usually, you just need to add a little bass to make the music stronger and clearer, but if you want to adjust it more deeply, you need to use many other devices to adjust.
How to adjust Effect
Echo Section:
- Echo level: Set at +100
- Echo Direct: Set to +0
- Echo HPF: You should set this parameter higher than 100Hz to ensure the sound quality is as good as desired.
- Echo LPF: Set lower than 11kHz.
- Echo per delay: 0ms
- Echo delay time: Leave it at 200ms
- Echo repeat: 60%
- Echo R CH PER Delay: Leave at 0%
- Echo R CH Delay time: 0%
Reverb section:
- Reverb level: Set at a moderate level of 50% (if you set it too high, the voice will no longer be real when you listen to it)
- Reverb Direct: +0%
- Reverb HPF: Set higher than 100Hz
- Reverb LPF: Set to less than 11KHz
- Echo PER Delay (echo delay): Should be around 20ms
- Reverb Time: In our experience it should be set at 2625 ms
Call out configuration
Recall button: The recall button will help you return to the configuration you saved before. This button is very convenient because every time you open it, you can press it and continue to entertain and sing with your family.
Save configuration
Save button: To save the parts that you have manually adjusted for the digital reverb. Note that after you are done, don't forget to press this button, otherwise all your manual adjustment efforts will be wasted.
Finally, the knob system, each knob will take on a different function and they are all clearly labeled. This part is adjusted based on your feelings and there is no certain standard. So you can freely try until you feel the best.
